Joan Kenton is a Senior Loss Control & Safety Consultant and joined the RCS team in March 2010. Previously, Joan was the national program director for Riskstaff for Norman Spencer McKernan for ten years where she developed a loss control/risk management program for policyholders.

Joan has spent a majority of her career working with clients to improve risk control issues – both in the commercial insurance industry and as a risk and safety manager specializing in temporary and direct employment placements. Most of her efforts were focused on establishing an aggressive workers compensation program for the construction and manufacturing industries.
 
Joan has successfully completed the OSHA 201A (Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the General Industry); OSHA 200A (Construction Standards) and various staffing/client safety orientations.
 
Joan holds a Bachelor of Arts, Sociology degree and was licensed in Property and Casualty insurance in 1987 as an agent. In 1992, she completed the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation program.
